Fresh Eggs :: Egg Quality
Not all eggs are created equal.
Egg quality begins with the quality of the feed and living space of the hen and carries on into the grading, washing and transport of the fresh eggs. Many factors play an important role in delivering superior eggs. All of our hens are fed premium all-natural vegetarian feeds from the day of hatch, and all eggs are washed, graded and packaged every day of the year for maximum freshness and safety.
All eggs are graded onsite using automated equipment to package only the eggs that meet our quality criteria. Our facility is certified under the Global Food Standards Initiative (GFSI) as an approved SQF Level 2 egg processing facility. This certification demonstrates our adherence to an extensive food safety program to validate the quality of eggs produced by our farm. Our food safety program undergoes procedures for continuous improvement and is subject to regular internal audits for effectiveness and a comprehensive third party audit on an annual basis.
The eggs packaged at our facility all originate from one of four houses on our farm. We do not blend the eggs between different flocks of hens to offset eggs laid by older hens with younger hens. All eggs laid at the farm are independently capable of standing up to our stringent quality requirements, giving you consistent quality in every dozen.
